Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to push the start date for this course back a week. It will now begin on the 18th of February, the second session will take place on the 25th of February and the final session will be on the 4th of March 2022.
If you live in Cavan or Monaghan and are living with chronic migraine, this course may be for you.
Taking place one night a week for three weeks, this course will focus on the emotional impact of living with a chronic condition with an aim to empower participants with self-management tools and pain-management strategies.
The contents of the course include:
- Mapping your migraine journey
- Primary and secondary suffering
- Communicating pain
- Thought patterns and pain
- Pain reduction methods
- Pacing as a tool
- Acceptance and self-compassion
- Exploring new approaches
Due to the nature of the course, we would kindly ask you to consider your willingness/readiness to address the emotional impact of living with a chronic condition. While this course is primarily for promoting self-management techniques, it does highlight the more difficult aspects of living with chronic pain and therefore a capacity to engage with these topics is required.
The course will be delivered through Zoom. Every Tuesday before the course evening, we will send out the course content and appendices that will be covered in the course for you to print or download.
To participate in this course, you must commit to the full three evenings that the course is run on and fill out the assessment assessment form below if you wish to attend. To book a place and return this form please email info@migraine.ie
