Migraine Triggers - How to cope with them

05jul7:00 pm8:00 pmMigraine Triggers - How to cope with themWhat are Triggers? What are my triggers? How do I find them and how do they influence migraine?

Event Details

Migraine triggers are a minefield – although not the cause of migraine, Triggers are factors that can bring about attacks or worsen many of the symptoms of chronic migraine. Triggers are unique to the person with migraine, so what might trigger my migraine attacks, may not trigger yours.

We all know the typical triggers; cheese, chocolate, red wine, etc., but are there other triggers? Is food the only culprit? What about light, sound, smell?

To answer these and other questions about migraine triggers, as well as how to track them, we’re delighted to welcome Vanessa Lefort, the Clinical Nurse Specialist from the Headache Clinic in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin.

This talk will look at

  • Identifying factors or triggers
  • Telling if it’s a trigger or prodrome
  • how best to manage triggers.
With thanks to the HSE National Lottery Office in CHO 2 Mayo
