Event Details

We are delighted to welcome back Esther Tomkins, Migraine Nurse Specialist, and Dr. Martin Ruttledge, Consultant Neurologist from the Headache Clinic in Beaumont Hospital to speak about Sport in Teenagers who are affected by Migraine.

Researchers are now finding evidence that moderate exercise can reduce the frequency and severity of migraine in some people. So regular exercise can be effective in preventing migraine, however for many it can be a trigger – especially for teenagers.

This talk will include:

  • How migraine is affected by activity and sport
  • What kinds of activities are most suitable for a teenager with migraine
  • How teenagers can help themselves to prevent an attack after playing sports or activity
