About Migraine Ireland

information and patient advocacy

Migraine Ireland is an informational and patient advocacy organisation. It strives to support individuals living with headache disorders and their loved ones.
Migraine Ireland recognises many issues that these individuals may face, including (but not limited to) stigma, misunderstanding, misinformation, health literacy challenges, and an underserviced, fragmented and regionally differing healthcare landscape.

Many people living with migraine and/or other headache conditions suffer in silence, despite being a very common condition. Migraine Ireland strives to lift the burden, silence and stigma that too often acts as a barrier to people accessing the care they need.

Migraine Ireland is not a medically regulated entity and does not provide medical advice and does not answer medical queries.
Migraine Ireland strives to provide accurate informational resources, signposting to services, listening support and occupational advocacy, to build public awareness and understanding of migraine and its associated disability, and to be a patient voice.
